La Pedrera, also known as Casa Milà (Milà House), is one of the masterpieces of Antoni Gaudí. In Barcelona, after the Sagrada Familia, is probably the most visited monument and admired. It is also one of the key points of Barcelona’s Modernist route.
The wonderful monument of La Pedrera is located in the famous Passeig de Gràcia, at its intersection with Provenza Street.
This spectacular building, built between 1906 and 1912, consists of a succession of stone walls on the outside. Its interior has two painted courtyards, columns and various rooms. Originally built to house apartments and offices.
On the roof of the Casa Mila are placed fireplaces, real sculptures to be admired, from where you can enjoy a splendid view over the Passeig de Gràcia. Is its most quirky, unusual space with an impressive artistic and symbolic force. In this original area ventilation towers and chimneys become petrified warriors amazing sculptures.
