We read this news today in El Periódico de Catalunya. A private company is launching an initiative for homeless will become in Barcelona guides after a training process.
The initiative will allow these people recycled to become “social guides” of Barcelona, as they have been called.
Barcelona’s case is not the only one. Other European cities have already launched the same type of initiatives.
The routes given by these social guides will cost 10€. Their visits must have a historical component of Barcelona, but delve into lesser known monuments that serve as a bridge to also refer to social aspects of Barcelona.
These itineraries will be launched in October with routes in the Gothic and Raval quarters. The aim of this type of guide in Barcelona is to offer new routes next Spring.
