All the port of Barcelona has undergone many changes in recent years, especially with the 1992 Olympics. The Port Vell is now an entertainment area, modern, vibrant and full of activities.
The Maremagnum, the shopping center in Port Vell
Located by the sea, the most enjoyable time to go is at dusk as you can admire the sunset over the port located on your left, to your right you will have a magnificent view over Montjuic and will have behind the statue of Columbus.
In Maremagnum you will find representing the main stores that are in the city center (Bershka, Zara, Desigual …) but with an added bonus: Maremagnum also open on Sundays. There are also restaurants, bars and clubs at night.
It is common to access the Maremagnum by the modern bridge that gives access to the area.
IMAX 3D cinema
Many afternoons shopping center just in film session, and Port Vell is all planned.
Right next to Maremagnum have the largest 3D cinema Barcelona: IMAX. Giant screens where movies come to life.
And right next to the IMAX, the Aquarium of Barcelona. This is the aquarium with the greatest diversity of Mediterranean marine fauna in Europe. The complex has 35 different aquariums containing about 11,000 animals of 450 different species.
