Schedules to eat in Barcelona are different to the rest of Europe. The midday meal is usually 1. 30 PM to 4 PM. Dinner from 8.30PM to 10 PM
About shopping hours, some shops (usually the smaller) coinciding with the closing lunch. It is usually a pause of 14 to 17h.
For nightlife, clubs are open to 11PM, although many begin to not be animated until 1am or 2am.

- Tax free: residents from outside the European Union are entitled to have Value Added Tax (known as IVA, in Barcelona; 21%) refunded on purchases of more than €90.
- Sales: the winter sales generally begin in the second week of January and go on until the end of February, and the summer sales begin on 1 July and run until the end of August.
- How to pay: most people pay in cash or with a credit card, when you must show your passport or identity card.

Barcelona is a big city. Enjoy the city on foot is great but where you can get walk, the best thing is to move by underground. The Barcelona Metro is composed of several lines connecting the entire city and even small towns nearby. There is also a complete system of trains.
