Torre Bellesguard

Torre Bellesguard

Bellesguard, officially called Casa Figueres, is one of the lesser known works of Gaudí, why and worth a visit. It was built between 1900 and 1909.

In the place where it is now Bellesguard, was in a castle where the fifteenth century lived (and died) King Martin the Humane (Martí l’Humà). The king spent a few years there due to his early death, and dying left no offspring and none of the 4 children who had survived.

How get to Torre Bellesguard?

We are very honest: It is not easy to arrive to Bellesguard, but we assure you that even if you have to walk 10 minutes to get there much worth it.

The easiest way is with FGC (railways, which we remind that work just like the subway). Get off at the Tibidabo stop and from there walk about 15 minutes.

If you prefer to come by bus, the 60, 123 and 196 are nearby. And if you come by car, the area does not seem difficult to park.
