La Maquinista is one of the shopping centers best valued in Barcelona. It is likely the average structure discovered what makes people appreciate this mall so positively. Its wide streets and being able to be always looking at the sky makes as much as it is full of people does not feel cramped.
However, the fact that La Maquinista is the farthest from the center of Barcelona shopping center, makes many people wonder how to go from Barcelona center to La Maquinista.
Although logically you can get to La Maquinista by underground (with Line 1, stop Sant Andreu or Torres i Bages station), really the fastest way to get to the mall La Maquinista from the center of Barcelona is RENFE train with any service that stops at the stop in Sant Andreu Comtal station.
To do this, you can take the train on Passeig de Gràcia (opposite Barcelona City Hotel and Casa Batlló) take any train destination or Sant Celoni Granollers. You will come to Sant Andreu Comtal in less than 10 minutes. Once there, you have less than 5 minutes walk to the entrance of the mall.
Logically, to return to the city center you can do exactly the same.
If you are going to La Maquinista by car, you will see that you have several free parking (indoor and outdoor) and no time limit. In fact, it is one of the places we recommend use of free parking in Barcelona.
