Christmas is coming and with it the New Year Eve in Barcelona, undoubtedly one of the most wished nights of the year 😉
First of all, say that Christmas and New Year are beautiful times to visit our city, all full of light, Christmas decorations and smiling people on the streets as well as a great commercial activity.
And there are a lot of holidays and the night of December 31 arrives: New Year. And the usual: family dinner, grapes possibly also in family (or friends …) and then what? What we do this New Years Eve in Barcelona?
Or, better yet, what if I want to start my plan since dinner or to take the grapes and elsewhere?
Well. Usually it is, as mentioned, dinner and eat grapes with family or friends and then go out and celebrate the New Year in a nightclub. In this blog we have talked several times in different places for partying by the Barcelona night.
So, from the famous Razzmatazz to famous clubs like Opium, Luz de Gas, Pacha or Shoko, among others, will offer its mythical holidays this year whose input can purchase in advance (probably with drink included).
Another mythical sites to celebrate New Years Eve is Poble Espanyol, where year after year a massive party under tents and lots of music and rhythm is organized.
And although no heat and enjoy the warm weather that usually gives us Sant Joan’s night in Barcelona, it is true that the beach is one of the protagonists in the night New Year in Barcelona. From free parties organized by groups of friends (especially young people) a lot of atmosphere, music and fun for the various pubs and nightclubs that are located all around the Port Olimpic and Passeig Marítim.
If you are to prefer quieter plans on the night of New Years Eve but also want to stay locked home (or a friend’s house), you can choose to attend smaller places that surely does not agglutinate so many people and will be less intrusive. Thus, from a variety of themed bars in the city to move you to exotic environments like one of the tiki bars we have in Barcelona.
Do not forget that New Year’s Eve you can move all night by metro, because metro service will not stop. And if you come to the city to explicitly pass this special holiday, remember that low cost accommodation BCN City Hotels find very good deals to save the maximum accommodation and to spend money on entertainment;-)
