For the thirty-ninth time Feria de Abril de Catalunya comes to the city. Barcelona will be disguised another year of berthing for one of the most traditional festivals in southern Spain, characterized by joy and pleasure.
This Andalusian festival was bornt in 1846, led by the Catalan Bonaplata and the Basque José María de Ybarra, in Seville, capital of Andalusia, the epicenter of this event.
The birth of this festival in Barcelona, however, is newer, and as a result of waves of immigration that the city has received in the second half of the twentieth century. Thus, in 1971, a group of immigrants and their descendants have decided to create their own version of the April Fair in Barcelona. Currently, the fair of Barcelona is the second largest in Spain, ahead of Malaga and Cordoba.
Barcelona: always cosmopolitan, always friendly, always open... The fair, organized by FECAC, does justice to the city that welcomes it and, unlike that of Seville, their homes are open to the public and invitation is not required.
Will be held from April 23 to May 2 in the Forum park in Barcelona, easy access to downtown.
A different way to discover Barcelona. Enjoy the approximately 65 booths and music and food along the Sea!
